How can i compact & repair database with macros??

There are lots of things that macros just can't do.

Even using VBA, you can't compact the currently-open database, although you
can compact another database using the CompactDatabase method.

Jack,
Under the tools menu chhose options...then choose the
general tab... on there you will see towards the lower
left you will see the option to COMPACT ON CLOSE...
that should do it.
