Highlight Past Due Dates

i want to compare dates in a chart to the current dat
if the dates being compared are past du
i want to highlight the cell (that contains the date) with a yellow backgroun

Format>conditional formatting, formula is

=TODAY>A2

select the whole date range, assume the range would be A2:C20
start selecting from A2 or type in the range in the name box and press
enter,
the apply the conditional formatting..
