Hidden reminders?

I want to make an alert go off at 4pm every day to remind me to pick up my
son from school, but I don't want to see it in my calendar or my task list.
How can I do this?

I'd use an external third party alarm program for that one particular
purpose. I'm pretty sure there are a bunch of free ones around.

I needed the same thing at a previous employer who required time-clocking
(glad that's over).

1) I created daily reminders at clock-in/clock-out times.
2) I gave these appointments a Category of "Timeclock".
3) I changed by Calendar view to Filter out appointments that had a Category
of "Timeclock".

We're going to use a similar technique when my current company goes on
Summer Hours.

Bill-

That suggestion worked, but only for calendar view. Is there a way to
filter it out in Outlook Today view?

I've done some simple editing of Outlook Today html, but I haven't found a
way to apply a filter to the calendar items. Sorry - maybe some others have
ideas.
