Hi, all:

I got problem that XP does not boot up:
It stop after detecting IDE hard drive.
No message like missing ntldr.exe showing up.

I doubt that master boot record mess up, then I boot from winXP setup disk,
choose repair optione then it goes to recovery console,
when I run "Fixmbr", I got following message:

**CAUTION**
This computer apprears to have a non-standard or invalid master boot record

FIXMBR may damage your partition tables if you proceed

This could cause all the partition on the current hard disk to become
inaccessible.

If you are not having problems accessing your drive, do not continue.

Are you sure youwant to write a new MBR ?

I choose no at this point since I have three partitions and valuable data
stored in third partion,
I am afraid of destroy my data on third partition.

Anyone has idea to fix the problem ?

Thanks in advance !!

It's really your only hope. If your NTFS drive is not accessible from the
Recovery Console, I doubt there is any other utility that would do any
better at trying to fix it. (There are other third party utilities, like
Partition Magic, and BootItNG, but I doubt they would do much better)
