Hello all,
Everyone out there I am sure has had their patience tested with Vista as I
have.
I have previously been through the Microsoft support hoops to end up at the
you will need to reinstall due to corrupted files.
Here i am again a few weeks on, after doing just that and all the driver
updates thereafter and I really do not want to have to do that again.
The problem I now face is that on logging on I am getting the message that
C:Windows\system32\ODBC32.DLL is corrupt.
Unfortunately this used by not only my creative soundcard but also the
microsoft management console, which means event viewer, device manager etc is
not accesable.
sfc scannow also will not sort it.
I am running vista 32 bit with intel matrix storage manager with a recovery
raid drive.
I am hoping that it is possible to access the above file on the recovery
drive and replace the corrupted file. i am shooting in the dark as I have no
experience of working with a raid drive as this is a new computer.
I would really appreciate any advice that will save me from going back to
factory settings again
Hope some one can help,
Regards,
Paul
