HELP: Outlook 2003 send to link goes to Express instead...

OK, I have asked this before but the suggested fixes did not work. I
am desperate for a cure.

If I am in a browser and select "file" "send to" email recipient the
system tries to use OE instead of Outlook. I deleted all my accounts
in OE, but that just brings up a dialog box to recreate an account and
then opens an OE email window.

Yes, I have already verified that Outlook is the default email
program. Clicking on a mailto: link works fine.

The problem appears to be in a file in the send to directory that is
linked to OE. Outlook apparently did not install on or for some
reason it was overwritten by an obsolete OE version after install.

Yes, I have reinstalled Outlook.

Nothing works.

Please help.

Thanks in advance AFJ

Go to Control Panel->Internet Options. In the Programs tab, make OE your
default. Close out. Go back and make Outlook your email default.

If this fails, you may need to reregister the Outlook program as the
default. Post back if this does not work.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, Air Force Jayhawk

I will try to be clearer. Outlook is properly registered as the
default mail handler because clicking on a "mailto:" URL works fine.
The problem is the file in the send to directory that is connected to
OE rather than Outlook. How do I replace it with a file that properly
directs the attachment to an Outlook email rather than an OE email.

(I tried what you said before thouhg...no change)
