Help - My file/open, file/save etc file dialogs open in no order whatsoever ?

Hi

Suddenly, MY W2K pro box has chosen to open the above
dialogs with the files and folders in total garbage order.
The folders are all together, but typically at the far
right hand end of th elist, and even then they are NOt in
alphabetic sequences or any other "perceivable" sequence
(maybe date or something)

Its driving me nuts........
Windows Exploder is just fine, its only the open/save etc
common dialogs that have decided to do this.

The box is a development box running VC6 and sundry others
stuff, but AFAIK it was only after I used RegClean for a
short while that this has started ???

Any help any of of you can offer would be most welcome as
I am going nuts trying to save files etc across the
network when I have tosearch through every folder to find
the one I want ???
