Help! Error msg: "Unable to display folder...the handle is invalid

Since a couple of hours ago, my Outlook program has gotten buggy and is
slowing down the rest of my computer. When I click on the Inbox I get this
error message where I should be able to see my emails: "Unable to display the
folder [lists location of the .pst file] The handle is invalid"

Any ideas how to fix it?

Thanks, Anna

What version of Outlook are you using?
You can scan your PST for errors. Close Outlook, use your PC's search
function to look for scanpst.exe. Double-click it and follow the
instructions, making sure you point it to your PST file. Bear in mind your
PST file is hidden so first you must unhide hidden files and folders.
You may have to scan for errors repeatedly. Make sure Outlook is closed when
you do this.
If that doesn't make a difference, delete and recreate your Outlook profile:

Post back and let me know how you made out.
