Help: Desktop (Plugged In To Wall- No Battery) Shows Battery Icon In Tray

T

TC

My desktop PC, plugged in to the wall, now shows a battery indicator
in the system tray. The "Always show battery icon on taskbar" box is
unchecked. Machine is a home-built machine, running XP Home SP2.
Battery shows 100% remaining. Machine is hooked into a UPS, but the
UPS is not discharging.

This doesn't appear to be affecting performance, but I'm curious as to
what may be causing this, and how to get rid of it.

Thanks.

make sur ethat your setting is set to always on or office desktop...
something other than laptop. (it's just a guess) in the
displayproperties>screensaver>power.
