Help - cannot connect with IE but can connect with Firefox- HELP

Firefox is working fine but somehow my IE doesn't want to display any page.
It appears that it's not connecting to the net. I checked & unchecked LAN
setting-automatic detect setting.
Please, help.

My config - XP Pro SP2. IE 6.

I too am having the same issue. IE7 Beta 2 did the same thing, now after
uninstall, IE6 is now also having the same problem. Any help, anyone? Thanks.

XP Home SP2 IE6 Now using Firefox.
