Help - Accelerated Video Playback

I have just installed Win 98 SE on my new PC (512 MB DDR,
Athlon 2000+ processor, NVIDIA GeForce2 MX 100/200 video
card). Videos which I play in Media Player 6 (or 9 for
that matter) are playing as if they are in fast-forward.
It playes the sound and video fine, except for the
skipping (about 3 seconds of video for every 1 second of
real time).

How can I fix this?

BTW: I do have the most recent drivers for my video card.

This is a Windows XP newsgroup. You're more likely to get help in a Windows
98 group or the Media Player 9 group
