I'm looking at purchasing a Headset & Microphone (boom type) combination but
not sure how it works. This connects using a USB, instead of the Mic. & Spk
connection (that usually goes in the back of the computer).

I'm running Windows 2000 and was wondering how the USB connection makes this
possible. I don't want to purchase it then find out that the USB connection
    doesn't work correctly.
