I apologise if you've told me before - but what are your PC specs (CPU/RAM/HD)?

Well i dont have it on 24/7 :blush: That could be the reason LOL

I know its not much of a contribution but its a contribution.

Oh my CPU temp is now at 47/48, the highest i have seen it. You sure that is fine? Also is teh aux temp the case temp? Also could you give me a range of temps for each that they should be ideally?

In my case the cpu temp when the computer is idle is 10 Deg higher than what the room temp is, in case of high cpu activity add 15-20 on top of that. If I calculate backwards your room temp should be about 17-22 Deg C. Is that so? If it is you need not worry about anything.

I normally have the pc on from anywhere between 6-12hrs.

Not sure what the room temp is.
A set up like yours is likely to earn something like 35 points per hour (6hrs = 210 points)as long as no other processes are being run as well, ie at idle - if you are using it as well during this time then the output will be less :thumb:

CPU Temp

I monitor the temp of cpu/motherboard by using the asus probe for my a8n-e motherboard and also use everest home ed as well. is their a more reliable software to use? Temps all ok, so no panic, just interested thats all. Cheers feckit.

the software is only as good as the temp probe on your motherboard

I just altered the CPU & SYS around as it was backwards ... I think yours is the same Rush ... easy enough to "fix" just swap the sensors over.

mine runing Boinc full pelt ...

CPU = 36
SYS = 28
AUX = 28
HD = 23

Just thought i would say how impressed i was with these temps. I left the pc on overnight for 11 1/2 hours, i closed all the processes i didnt need. So it was in idle all that time, you would probaly expect that as the computer isn't being used but i was suprised, probaly as i have never left it on overnight before lol.

Are the temps ok? Also you were saying something about swapping sensors around?

You have no need to swap your sensors, they are correct ... there is also no need to shutdown any "processes" as they won't be use if you are not using the PC.

;)
