I`ve heard that gigabyte`s motherboards show cpu temperature 10-15C
bigger than real
is it true?

I have a Gigabyte mainboard but i cannot comment on this as i have never
heard of this issue.
Saying that, i run a seperate LCD display on my case which indicates fan
speeds & temperatures & when i look at the CPU Temp in bios & compare it to
the reading on the panel it is only a difference of about 4 degrees, this is
assuming i have fairly accurate readings in the first place.

I have a Gigabyte mobo and a display on the case front with sensors attached
to CPU, HDD and Case. The mobo software gives CPU as 37c and System as
29c. The separate display gives CPU 31c and System 26c. As the sensor for
the CPU cannot be placed directly on the chip but only as close as possible
I would suspect the it could well be reading about 5 or 6 degrees less which
makes me think the mobo reading is probably fairly close. Just for interest
the HDD is reading 30c.
