Freeze on agp440 when rebooting after installing SP2 on xp

Computer was running fine and I install service pack 2
for windows xp now my computer will not start it freezes
at the agp440.sys even in safe mode and load the the last
good configuration. I try disabling agp440 with disable
command then it freeze on mup, disable that it freeze on
modem... somthing. I had to reload the entire os.

If anybody knows a solution less drastic than a complete
reinstall, please post!

I found it it is a problem with BIOS on the prescott chip. Update you bios
and it will work!!
