And you *really* insane enough to give your credit card to the
Ukrainians after that story about 40 million credit card numbers being
hacked and sold by Eastern Europeans (Ukraine)?? Read the story here:

Are you really that biased against Ukrainians? From the article:

"Under the indictments unsealed Tuesday, three of the defendants are
U.S. citizens, one is from Estonia, three are from Ukraine, two are from
China and one is from Belarus."

Note that there are just as many US citizens involved as there are
Ukrainians.

If you actually did a lookup on the IP address, it's from the Ukraine.

Funny you snipped your own post:

You were talking about who did it, not where they did it, "hacked and
sold by Eastern Europeans (Ukraine)??" when, in fact, three US citizens
were also involved in the "hacking and selling" as well as the other
nationalities mentioned in the article you cited.

Does missing the forest for the trees mean anything to you?

In the story from MSNBC, it clearly states:

"[O]ne is from Estonia, three are from Ukraine, two are from China and
one is from Belarus. One individual is only known by an alias online,
and his place of origin is unknown." Three are from the Ukraine. It's
staring you right in the face.

Here's a paragraph from another source:

"Three of those charged are U.S. citizens while the others are from
places such as Estonia, Ukraine, Belarus and China."

So yes, I *was* referring to where they come from. That spam
originated from the Ukraine.

No, you weren't. You were referring to who did it. Reread your post.

I don't see the problem. Actually investigating the owner of the EBCD
web site revealed to me that it was from Ukraine. So, because I had
actually bothered to do this, cited the story where they clearly state
three Ukrainians were arrested (not in the US), and posted a warning,
perhaps not explicitly, that EBCD was a Ukrainian web site and to not
give your credit card to them because of the recent arrests, you're
still arguing with me?

Three Ukrainians (amongst others) being busted for credit card number
theft just the day prior (to the EBCD spam) and suddenly one pops up a
day later to a Microsoft newsgroup where average Joe and Jane user
visit and ask for advice and who would probably see this advert and
use a credit card to buy it? I'm sure that's just coincidence.
