Just come back from seeing dentist fellow at Guys. He's getting a second impression from me, I just hope it's better than the first impression. Whilst he's probing my oral cavity and nearly splitting my lips I become aware that my Asian professor tooth specialist is fond of spicy food with lots of garlic. I suppose a mask not necessary for impressions.

In lift on way down an immaculately groomed middle aged lady with long blonde hair wheeling a trolley full of folders enters the lift. I also observe she is erring on the fuller figure and possesses the most ginormous pair of bazoomas. Forgive me I'm male, I'm programmed to notice these things. This lady, who seems to be of a cheerful nature as she gives me a smile, is singing, very clearly, Joni Mitchell's Big Yellow Taxi. This struck me as a little surreal. But pleasant.

Walking towards Platform One I note that none of the retail units in The Shard Arcade have been let yet. And today we have drizzly rain.

You know Flopps, I have noticed that sometimes, their surgical gloves have a very unpleasant smell!

They are single-use and I can even see them being taken fresh from the pack - but, I have noticed that certain kinds have a slight "onion/garlic" type of aroma. I guess it must be the non-latex substance they are made of? Don't know. But boy, they pong! I have also noticed it in the past, when being treated at the dental hospital. A bit off-putting.

Serenaded in the lift eh..? That sounds infinitely better than the dreary-drone we hear when taking the lift at our new local hospital. The dreary-drone in question, being the voice of a woman, who intones information regarding whether the lift is going up, down, and which floor it is on. She repeats it in both Welsh and English. In the most doom-laden voice you'll ever hear. Awful!

Yeah, drizzly rain here today too.

Good luck with your latest impression. Hope you are now well on the road to new gnashers, so all the very best for that. :D

TC: The smell I noticed in the dentists chair definitely wasn't the blue surgical gloves. I know this as I only smelt it when he spoke in close proximity to my hooter. I use those blue gloves myself for dirty jobs, I buy them in boxes from RS Components and other electronic suppliers, they be particularly good for when applying thermal paste to semiconductors and CPU's.

Best Nutribullet recipe I've come up with so far is strawberries, apple, a few walnuts and a few spinach leaves. Quite palatable. Today I had strawberries, white seedless grapes and pecan nuts. I've yet to get adventurous with recipes but I really must try more vegetables. I've actually had this thing two months now, was purchased May 19th.

Must admit none of the smoothies get me quite excited in the way that not-so-healthy foods do but at least I know they're probably good for me and it's an easy way to take in nutrients.

I keep getting tempted to add stuff like sugar, golden syrup, fresh cream, honey - most of which would rather defeat the object. So I don't.

I wonder what leftover pizza, pie, pastie & chips would come out like. :)

That recipie sounds not half bad. I would get yourself some pine nuts and almonds. The almonds apparently give a nice creamy flavour and texture to the drinks.
Nowt wrong with a touch of honey and stuff, moderation is the key.The odd shot or two wouldn't go amiss and would certainly make the drink more pleasurable.

I have a Lumix DMC FZ28 as a secondary camera, just been taking pix of my Fuji X-Pro 1 with it (prior to sale). It's good for zoom (18 x) and handy for general use and I was wandering around snapping and took a pic of the cork notice board in my kitchen. And no, I don't know why, but it is, I suppose, different:

And, guess what? I have the same model.

It's pretty old and faded now. Used to belong to my Dad. :D

Looks like you have all the important stuff from your past there. Scooters, Guinness and family.

Try a pineapple, bit messy to cut up but do it all at once and keep in chunks in a container in the fridge, sweetens up recipes a treat.
I got a Bullet and me main ingredients are pineapple, mellon, pear, blueberries and carrots. An me best effort so far has been a Pimms iced slushy.

Mangos, hmm I'll try them if Morrisons have them on special offer.

Do not forget the mint if trying the Pimms.

I have a Breville Blend Active and it works brilliantly - and for a fraction of the price of a Nutribullet :thumb:

Darn it that sounds great and only 30% of the price of a Bullet. An the container fits in a drinks holder in the car unlike the Bullet.

Anyone want to buy a secondhand Bullet for £ 90

Here is a good tip for your Bullet Flop's.

216587011_0_170x170.jpg

These were 79p at Morrisons a while ago along with other flavours. I like the Cranberry and Lime meself..
So you put a carrot some cooked beetroot (morrisons 79p) and anything else in the bullet top up with a Princess juice instead of water and hey presto you have a palatable drink. Put any solid ingredients in you have lying around and they still taste pretty good due to the juice.
