Final as default, not Final Showing Markup

Is there a way to set the Word default to Final, rather then Final Showing
Markup? I have a user who needs to track edits, but he often also does 100
document batch printing, and he needs Final, with no markups, for printing.

Thanks,
Gordon

For what it's worth, I have already tried turning off "warn before
printing..." and " make hidden markup visible when opening and saving", and
yet if I set the document to show "Final" and then save, it is showing "Final
with Markup" when you open.

Thanks,
Gordon

If you switch to Final view before printing, that's what will print, or you
can choose "Document" rather than "Document with markup" in the Print
dialog.

Yes, but that requires doing it manually each time you print, so you cannot
batch print. I want to tell Word to use Final ALL the time, so I can can
print 100 documents at once from Explorer. It seems like I should be able to
make Word work that way.

Thanks,
Gordon

I realized after I posted that what you meant was 100 documents rather than
100 copies. For that you'd need a macro.

My previous attempt to communicate went out without a message. I have an
issue similar to Gordon's. I want to set the default to "Final" so that I
can batch print or open without having to change the view manually EVERY
TIME. I am fed up with getting scrunched-up text littered with balloons and
redline/strikeout. So I need a macro to make Word default to Final? In what
language? VB or C# or ? And will I need the System Administrator to put it
in place, so the firewall doesn't eat it for breakfast? Please let me know.
Thanks very much,

Macros in Word are written in VBA, and that's ALL I know about macros.
You'll probably want to post in one of the word.vba NGs, where you can also
get answers to your other questions.
