Fill Color/ Background Color/Tab Color

Help Please,
I opened up my Excel program to do some work and noticed
that my fill color does not work. Also all the colors I had
designated for my worksheet tabs and cell background colors
were wiped out. Does anyone have any ideas on what could
have happened? I don't think it had anything to do with
the Windows Xp Sp2 upgrade as I could not install it. My pc
wont let it install. Right now I am po'd, what in the
blazes could have caused my excel program to be altered?
