File Properties for Karaoke kar files

I reinstalled Windows XP and lost the extra tab I had on
my file properties for .kar files.

This tab would show the text in the .kar file and also
had the song name and artist.

How do I add this functionality back to my new
installation of WinXP?

How did you get it there in the first place? Installed some 3rd party
software?

You will need a third party application to open KAR files
they are not a native part of Windows.

That's what I don't know, I was installing several
shareware programs to try and make a CD+G disc work but
was unsuccessful.

I had never worked with .kar files so I didn't realize
the properties thing I had added was special.

You think this relates to some CD+G software?

There are programs out there that have the ability to play
karaoke file on the pc, you can get some that actually
allow you to create a karaoke song, only playable on the
pc however.
