Favorites in Public Folders vs. Favorite Folders in Outlook 2003

These are two different folders/views, I presume. We have a user who wants
to favorite/shortcut one of the public folders to her Inbox, which is not
possible. The Favorites in the Public Folders falls right below the Inbox.
The Favorites Folder shows up above the level of the Inbox in Mail - Favorite
Folders. I don't think a Public Folder favorite can be added to the Mail -
Favorite Folders, though. I think it is only in the Folder List view that we
can see Public Folders and the Favorites that are created from Public
Folders. Just want to make sure. Thanks.

If the user adds the folder to Public Folders\Favorites, they can then right-click the replica in PF Favs and choose Add to Favorite Folders to put it in the Mail navigation pane list.

This does not work for me. I can add Public Folders\Favorites to my
Favorite Folders but I cannot add the folders that appear in Public
Folders\Favorites to my Favorite Folders. All I end up with is a Folder
icon called "Favorites in Public Folders". When I click on it, the
folders that _are in_ Public Folders\Favorites do not appear - I just
get a view that looks like an empty mailbox. Could this be an issue
with Forms? Just guessing here ...

You must use the Add to Favorite Folders command for each individual folder you want to see in the Favorite Folders list. It doesn't show a folder hierarchy.
