fake microsoft e mails

I am receiving many fake micosoft emails that say they contain a security
patch but instead have a virus. What is the best filter for this.

Thanks,

Mk,
Open Outlook Express and then:
If you don't get any genuine newsletters from Microsoft, click Tools,
Message Rules,
Mail, then on the 'message rules' panel click 'new' to create a new rule and
enter the name Microsoft in the blocked senders, and choose the delete from
server option. Click 'ok'. and 'ok' again.
If you do get genuine MS email, then I noticed that the subject headers stay
the same for a day or two. So enter the header in a new rule, then update it
till this whole thing stops. You'll know as soon as a new header gets
introduced, no problem.
Hope this helps,
Chek

Hi,
Let me share what I did for my case which might or might not be applicable
to others.
I made custom filters to my e-mail stating to delete all mails with the
words "Mail" or "Update" in the Subject and to delete mails with the words
"Security" or "Delivery" or "Microsoft" or "Net" or "Admin" or "Storage" or
"Internet" or "Message" in the From Name. In addition to these I also faked
my e-mail add before posting here. After seeing my Junk Mail Folder always
full for the last 9 or 10 days, today is the first time I saw it empty.

When you set up your NEWS account and are asked to give your email address,
you put something in that will throw off a program that scours newsgroups
and automatically finds and gets the email address. You might put something
like NOSPAM in your email address. That one is kind of obvious, so you
might want to pick something a bit more subtle.

(e-mail address removed) might become kuechlermATcharter.net

From Outlook Express, Tools / Accounts.. / News / (choose your account) /
Properties / General Tab / (change your e-mail add from there). But use a
non-existent domain name; something that the internet explorer can not find.
