Failure to install HP Photo & Imaging 2.5 software

I successfully installed Commercial Scanjet 5590 TWAIN driver on my computer
running Windows XP Pro but not HP Photo & Imaging 2.5 software. The error
message was Internal Error 2343. I searched HP website and implemented the
solution suggested but no effect to this issue. Any other suggestion to get
rid of this problem is highly appreciated.

One is TWAIN the other is WIA.

You cannot have both on the same device at the same time. You must install
only one of the protocols.

Choose one and remove the other. (TWAIN is best).

According to the manual, both HP Photo & Imaging 2.5 & commercial scanjet
5590 TWAIN drivers can be installed. I cannot catch up your meaning.

OK, I am wrong.
I was thinking that the HP Photo & Imaging was a Microsoft Windows XP
feature.

Did you try removing HP Photo & Imaging, reboot, then reinstalling?
Sometimes programs just do not install correctly.

Internal Error messages usually mean that all of the expected code for the
program is not present.
