Howdy,

This one has me going in circles.

Here are the details:

I am trying to image a new Dell GX280 pc w/ a Ghost image on a network server.
-the image is not corrupt and when I browse to it is visible on the network, however,
-when I boot from the Norton Ghost 9 CD and try to install network services I get the following error: "failed to install network adapter - check winbom"
-I have searched the net for any advice on this and have found different responses to the effect that the NIC may be the problem.
-the pc has a Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit NIC
-I have updated the driver from the Broadcom site so the driver is the latest version

If anybody has any thoughts, they would be GREATLY appreciated.

Cheers,

T

"failed to install network adapter - check winbom" simply means that Windows was unable to install your network adapter for you, that you'll need to install it manually (from disk or downloaded drivers). Don't get too worked up over it!
