Faded screen?

Amanda

I keep getting a faded screen after being idle for some
time (hibernation, screen saver, even after I turn the pc
on after it's been off). All the colours seem faded, but
if I reboot everything goes back to normal. Had my
monitor checked out, it was fine. Same thing happened
last year on my older pc, which died last Sept, and now
it's happening on this newer one. Doesn't seem to be
much of an operating problem, just a visual one. Could
this be XP? It's the only thing the same on both PCs.
Anyone heard of or seen this before?

Thanks

Amanda

Amanda,

Control Panel > Power Options > Power Schemes > in 'System Standby' change
setting to 'Never'. You might want to disable Hibernation also, Power
Options > Hibernate > uncheck 'Enable Hibernation' > OK.
