F30 Canon Wrong Cartridge

T

Please help, my MultiPass F30 Canon started to show "Wrong Cartridge"
message on LCD display. I can not do anything, because the printer
won't move (including the scanner) until the error is cleaned. I would
buy a new printhead, but I am afraid it won't help. However, I could
not find on web any place to buy it. As well, I did not find anything
more specific about this error.

Thank you,
Tudoricos

I think this may solve your problem.
Power down the F30 and unplug it.
Open the scanner lid and look for two phillps head screws and remove
them.Turn the unit upside down and look under the center of the F30 (above
the outgoing paper path) for the other two phiillips head screws and remove
them.
The blue face plate should now come off.Look to the left for the multi
strand white wire connector and remove it, reseat it in the receptacle and
get a good connection.
Put it back together and try your F30.
Respond with results.

The cartridges burn out sometimes. Try what Michael said. A new one will
probably fix it if Michael's fix doesn't work. Make sure you are not
getting hit with a 15% restock fee if you buy a new one and try to return
it. Some places do that with ink cartridges.

Wrong cartridge

I have an F30 myself and I also am coming up with a wrong cartridge error.I tried what Michael said twice to double check I was following his directions properly. It did not work. I have replaced all the ink cartridges. My case is a little different as the scaner is still working, but that is it. When I press print it comes back with an error code that the printer is either busy (funny response if you ask me) or that the printer is not connected properly. So I went in and made sure there were no print jobs running. There were not. However, it contiues to comes back as the same error message. I was wondering if it is possible to do the same thing Michael suggested but at the other end (would this help?) logically thinking to myself this could be a possibility. However I would need help (directions) in accomplishing this task. If anyone has a suggestion based on the info above could you please respond. As I am learning, the Canon company is not a great source of information when it comes to trouble shooting problems like this one without a fee. As if purchasing thier product was not enough!

Thanks,

Chris
