external USB drive kit grounding?

hi all,

I just got an icybox 181 2.5inch drive usb drive enclosure and
curiously it says in somehwta poor english in the manual

"snap in top shell in with grounding clip in to the metal frame an flip
down the other side"

LOL ok so after laughing at this I wondered about the grounding
thing.... I THINK it is in reference to a couple of metal clips that
hold the enclosure together and is really nothing to do with electrical
grounding - but out of curiosity how would an external disk be grounded
- through the USB cable?

It may be or the case may not be grounded at all,
you'd have to measure that or inspect it to be sure.
