Export Data from another source to use in an excel template

I would like to have an excel invoice template made in excel and be able to export data from another source to populate the template & print out invoices. Is this something that is possible and if so, where can I find information on how to set this up?????

I don't have a lot of knowledge about excel so any help is appreciated.
This will be a huge learning curve for me.
