Explorer.exe (ieframe.dll) Error

I keep getting the following error when I am in the middle of typing an
address in the Run command (start menu>run): "Windows Explorer has
encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the
inconvenience." The error signature is: AppName: explorer.exe AppVer:
6.0.2900.2180 ModName: ieframe.dll ModVer: 7.0.6000.16441 Offset: 000c83b3
I think this error started to occur after installing a windows update. I
have Windows XP Pro SP2 with IE 7 installed. Please let me know if anyone
knows the solution for this error. Thank you.

ieframe.dll is part of Windows Internet Explorer 7.

Dump Windows Internet Explorer 7 and go back to Internet Explorer 6.

Well, if I wanted to get rid of IE 7 I wouldn't post a question here! There
should be a solution for this problem and I don't think this is a IE 7 bug
since I know people whose IE 7 works fine. I'm looking for a solution which
solves the problem without the need for uninstalling Windows Internet
Explorer 7.

How can this help? It's just a Google query which I did it before, but I
couldn't find any similar case. I think I should post this issue under
Internet Explorer section since IE7 causes that.

Sounds like a similar issue to the one I just posted. I'm
tempted to format and reinstall (without IE7).
