Exchange 2000 and 2003 running in a Windows 2000 Server Environmen

I am currently running a windows 2000 server environment with multiple servers. I am also running Exchange 2000. I want to upgrade to exchange 2003 but what our department wants to do is get it up and running for a few days and create a few dummy accounts to test it out. While this goes on, exchange 2000 will function normally. My question is about active directory's response to adding a 2nd exchange server. Does anybody have any documentation or know of any that can help this process go smoothly? I'm worried about causing major issues with active directory not knowing which exchange to use and such. Thank you.

To add Exchange 2003 to Youtr domain You will have to change schema in
Your AD. If it is only test deployment run this tests in the separate
environment not in Your productive environment.

You can add as many Exchange server you want to your Exchange Organization,
How ever there can only be one Exchange Organization peer forest.
