Excel max ~180 stock quotes?

Schultz

I am using the built-in excel feature to pull stock quotes off of
microsoft's site. I simply have stock symbols listed in order starting with
like cell A1000, then A1001, A1002, etc.

However, whenever I try to get it to spit out more than like ~180 quotes, it
gives me an "encountered unexpected error" message.

Can excel only do ~180 quotes from a spreadsheeet? Do I have to do multiple
spreadsheets? Seems kind of funny if so.

Also, how can I get real time quotes into excel rather than the delayed ones
off of the microsoft site?

Thanks for any help.

How many symbols do you want to update quotes for at a time?
I have a FREE file at the site below. As I recall, I designed to do as many
as desired. If not, one could be designed to do batches and add to the
bottom.

I'd like to have the ability to do thousands if possible.

I'll check out that site.

Do you know if there is an inherent limitation in the excel built-in stock
checker?

Thanks mate!
