Excel Excel down arrow macro problem

I have created macro that includes several down arrow commands. I need to run this macro on different size files-different number of rows. When I create the macro the number of rows is determined. Then, when I run on different files the macro does not go to the actual end of the file. Is there a way to make macro operate properly?
