Excel 2003 won't open any files

I get the message "Your virus scanner has detected a
problem with the file." and it refuses to open. Manually
scanning the file turns up NO virus.

I can't even open a new Excel 2003 file that I have just
saved, I get the same error.

Any help appreciated.

Die Norton Die !!!!

I removed Norton Antivirus and installed something else. No longer a
problem. I don't know what it did not like in a csv file (one I created so I
know what was in it). Now every thing works.
