Event Log Error Message - The DNS proxy agent was unable to bind to IP address

I am trying to setup ICS on a server, to utilise an ISDN
TA for a small network (some three PC's). Obviously the
server has an address of 192.168.0.1
Everytime I connect to the Internet all is ok from the
server, however other PC's on the network are unable to
connect.

After testing, it would appear that there is a DNS
problem, as I am able to Ping externally from all PC's,
but email & browser will not connect from the other PC's.

In the event log at the same time I get the following
message;

The DNS proxy agnet was unable to bind to the IP address
192.168.0.1. The associated error code with this is
0000271d.

I can find no record of this error or associated code, can
anyone please give me some guidance as to what the problem
may be between the TCP/IP stack and DNS.

Many thanks

Steve

Are you already running DNS on the server? See 250603 ICS May Not Function
Properly with DNS or DHCP Server Services on the

Marc,

Many thanks for the rapid response. I have stopped both of
these services (not really required in the current
configuration) and all appears to be functioning perfectly.

For future reference, unless I looked at all known
issues/faq's regarding ICS I would not have come across
this, is there a place where I could have looked up the
error provided in the event log?

Thank you.

Steve
