Event ID 1008

Hello All:

I'm receiving an error in the event viewer, and need some guidence on how to resolve this issue. The error reads as follows:

The Open Procedure for service "IAS" in DLL "C:\WINNT\System32\iasperf.dll" failed. Performance data for this service will not be available. Status code returned is DWORD 0.

Any ideas? I've searched the kb, but haven't found any resolutions. Thanks in advance for your help.

Start the Registry Editor
(Regedit.exe)
Goto the following subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\
ISA\Performance
Delete the string value "Open"
Restart your computer for this change to take effect.
