Errors in Win2000 Prof SP4

Help
I downloaded SP4 for Win2000 Prof. On reboot, I got a bluescreen, dumping files. I rebooted from CD & repair disk, and it got into a reboot loop. So, I restarted in Safe Mode to the last good configuration.
When I try to sign on to AOL, it says my Windows Networking is not configured properly. I am on a LAN with 4 computers, and it seems to be working fine. I have all the clients and protocals necessary. I have tried AOL 8 AND AOL 9; both with the same error message
My original problem was that Adobe 6.0.1 stopped working, and I was told to get all the updates for Win2000 and Office. I haven't solved that issue yet; now I have this problem.

You may need to reapply patches. Rolling back can sometimes cause a few
'anomolies'. If you don't want to try SP4 again, I suggest you reapply SP3.
If that does not work, you may need to reinstall the affected applications.

Chris.
