Error using DiskPart to add a mirrored volume

I have added a second hard disk to my system to mirror my boot drive. Both
disk's have been made dynamic and I am running XP Pro. with service pack 2.
When I use the add disk command I get the message: "The command you selected
is not available with this version of Windows." Can anyone tell me where I
may be going wrong?
Thank you,

If mirroring the hd is all youre set out to do,make sure you havent added
anything to new drive,if so,reformat.Once you have a clean hd,set as slave
on same IDE cable as C:,go to run type:XCOPY C:\*.* D:\ /c/h/e/k/r
Agree to all in the DOS window, once its thru, youre finished. Also,D: being
the slave drive, however if asigned diffrent, then use that letter.Usually the
text you recieved is if youre useing xp home, however home cant create dynamic
disks....

So I reformatted and set the disk to dynamic. With the disk "empty" I tried
the add ddisk commant and got the same error message. after that I ran the
xcopy command as specified, that went well. However the new disk is not
mirroring, that is when I write a new file it only shows up on the c: drive.
Could I be missing some part of my XP pro operating system?

Carey, Thank you for the link. Sounds like I can not create a mirror or
Raid1 on my system since it is not a "server". Did I hurt myself converting
my boot disk to dynamic?
Thank you,
Steve
