Error relating to NTUSER.DAT

Hi everyone :)

I have had a strange error come up (it's a first for me anyway) where as I
try to open Outlook Express and it comes up with the following error
message.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
ERROR DELETING FILE OR FOLDER
-
Cannot delete ntuser.dat: It is being used by another person or program.
Close any programs that might be using the file and try again.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Can someone please tell me should I just delete the file manually? (Does
this mean I will have to redo all my settings for windows) and what has
caused the problem in the first place.

Many thanks
Pip

.
Someone may know the answer but in the meantime, here's a
link to an OE site: http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com/

Leave it alone. That is the user section of the registry, and should
not be deleted ever. What OE is doing I don't know - try on the OE
newsgroup at
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6.outlookexpress
