Error message while installing quicktime

G

Guest

When I try to install quicktime I get an message;

error -1316. A network error occurred while attempting to read
C\WINDOWS\Installer\QuickTime.msi

Then

Error -1603 Fatal error during installation.
Consult Windows Installer Help (Msi.chm) or MSDN for more information.

I've done a search for both Msi.chm and MSDN, but I don't understand
anything I find there.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

See if QuickTime is listed when running this utility. If so, remove it from
the listing. Restart and then try installing QuickTime again.

DaBearman,

If you have another version of QuickTime you are trying to install on top
of, try uninstalling Quicktime completely. Then run the 'Windows Install
Clean Up Utility' and uninstall any other references to Quicktime. Now try
downloading & installing the new QuickTime 7.1 (has the new security flaw
fix).

Download 'Windows Install Clean Up Utility'

Download QuickTime 7.1
