I keep getting this message when I send e-mail, My provider walked me through
everything and then said it was on the window vista site, went there did what
they said about checking the authentication box then I hit enter and then
tried to send again, but the same message came up.It all worked up till a few
days ago ,I even went so far as to restore my computer but no good.

You'll get an answer sooner if you show us the complete error message.

Also, antivirus programs often interfere with Windows Mail, so what, if
any such programs do you have.

You could also tell us who your internet provider is, to see if anyone
here knows where to find instructions for setting up such an account.

Right-click on the error message, copy, then paste it into a
reply here. We need to see all the diagnostic information.
Also, which antivirus program are you using?

That's not the complete error message. We sometimes need the details
to tell you what to do.

Norton and McAfee antivirus programs often cause problems with
Windows Mail, although usually not immediately, and need to be
completely uninstalled to stop causing problems. Watch for someone
else to recommend a replacement antivirus program that doesn't cause
such problems.

I didn't see the new post you mention.

Your other post (with the complete error message) is in the thread
entitled "e-mail". I responded to it a few minutes ago.

You do handicap us by not telling us the error message, but:
0x800CCC79 SMTP_REJECTED_RECIPIENTS Server rejected recipients.
The most probable cause is that you are sending to more recipients than the
server allows (a spam fighting measure).

Another possibility is that it doesn't like something in your own name or
that you are trying to send through a different mail host than the ISP you
are attached to.
