Error message: "The server returned extended information"

When I right click and slect "save target as..." on a
vailid download link I recieve the following error
message. "Internet Explorer cannont download ...filename
from www.website.com... The server returned extended
information" Right clicking to chose save target as... as
worked before on other similar download links, but seems
to fail when I click on this particular one. Can someone
please tell me what is happening here, and obviously, how
to solve it.... Is this something that I should contact
the website admin about?
