please help- one of my event error -
Event Type: Error
Event Source: Perflib
Event Category: None
Event ID: 2002
Date: 5/11/2006
Time: 2:47:53 PM
User: N/A
Computer: TOSHIBA
Description:
The open procedure for service ".NETFramework" in DLL
"C:\WINNT\system32\mscoree.dll" has taken longer than the established
wait time to complete. There may be a problem with this extensible
counter or the service it is collecting data from or the system may
have been very busy when this call was attempted.

another error msg-Can not find the file '(NULL)' or its
componenets.....I have NT4 rev..

symptoms- desktop icons open delay by as much as 5 minutes..

You can run exctrlst.exe (Extensible Counter Listing Tool) from the resource
kit and disable the counters if you don't need or use them. They're for use
with Performance Monitor

Hi Dave:
It is like working in the maze trying to get exctrlst.exe from Win 2000
resource.. So far, I have not been able to get it into my computer.

OP,

You may also want to look in some ".NET" groups or fora as this
(mscoree.dll related) is a common error I've seen about. I cannot
help directly at all however as I do not run .NET here on W2K.
