error 1355 active directory cannot locate global catalog

Hi, i hope there is someone who can help me, I have
existing 3 DomainControllers which I initially setup on
the low specs machine, and succesfully applied and
implement the group policy, last week I restarted to
transfer each domain controller roles to a new high spec
machine, I am not receiving any error for demoting and
transferring roles for entire active directory,

As of this time the application and restrictions I setup
before are perfectly working on the new machines
(including the GPO and etc) but I've noticed that I keep
on receiving the error on the Directory Service of Event
Viewer, here are the details

Typr: Error
Source: NTDS General
Category: Global Catalog
Event ID: 1126
User: (varies)
Description: Active Directory was unable to establish a
connection with the Global Catalog

additional data:
1355 the specified domain either does not exist or could
not be contacted

I beleive that I did the proper way of demoting first the
existing Active Directory one after another, and
successfully trasferred all AD objects

hope there is someone who can help me, thanks in advance

The first thing that comes to mind is that you just don't have any GCs left
in the forest.
If you open up ad sites and services, under each server on the left should
be an ntds settings object. If you right click that object and select
properties, do any of them have the global catalog check box checked? You'd
want to ensure you have at least one, if not just all of them (depending
upon your environment).

If you have only one domain in your forest I recommend making all DCs in to
GCs (IE check that box on all of your servers).

thanks for your response

I have four AD Domain Controllers, those 4DCs have a NTDS
settings on the AD Sites and Services, and make it sure
that at least one of those DCs have the Global Catalog
checkedbox selected on NTDS settings, but I still keep on
receiving the same error that the Active Directory was not
able to establish a connection to the Global Catalog, I
also tried to select two DC to be a Global Catalog and
allow a considerable time to replicate but still got the
same error,

I do have one Domain in my forest and do selecting all the
DCs to ba a global catalog as what you have advised, I'll
will checked if it will work

thanks
