EML messages and outlook 2003

When I was running xp and I was in outlook express and I wanted to do a
personal reply to a group message outlook would be used for the reply
(outlook 2003 is my default for all email messages)...
.... But when I do the same in Vista RC2 , build 5744 (I have changed the
default for .eml to outlook 2003) nothing happens.
After I had changed the default and when I opened Windows Mail it said that
it is not the default for EML mail and did I want to make it the default
program for it. I said no.

Any help would be great.

I don't think Outlook is capable of opening eml files.

Thanks for the reply Steve.

It is a bit of a pain. As I said when in Outlook express running XP I could
send personal replies via outlook 2003.
It does mean I will have to set up the mail part of windows mail, just in
case I need to do a personal reply to a post.
