email disappears after I read but is still inbox but cannot seeit

After I receive an email and read it the message disappears. It seems to
stay in the inbox because If I retype the address and search for it in the
inbox I can bring it back up again.

I want the message to stay in the nbox until I delete them

Since I don't know the version, I can only give general steps. In most
versions, you can right click on the row of field names and choose Reset.
It's harder to find the row in Day/Week/Month so go to the View menu and
find Custom or Customize this view - exactly where on the view menu it is
depends on your version - you should find it if you browse and look at the
expanded menus.
