Dynamic Folder Creation for Folder Redirection via GP not working with XP Pro

I have setup a global policy to redirect all users My
Documents. I setup the security according to article
244743. When I log into the domain using a W2KPro PC,
everything works properly (new folder is created if
necessary and the proper security is set). However, if
I log into the domain using an XPP PC and the redirected
folder do not exist, it will get created but permissions
are not set. I have to reapply owner permissions with
the domain admins in order to access the directory. But,
if I initially created the redirected folder by logging
in using a W2KPro PC, I can then login using the same
username as I did with the W2KPro PC on an XPP PC and the
folder redirection does work because the folder was
created and permissions were applied using a W2KPro PC.
Does anyone have any ideas as to why this is occurring?

You're talking about "Grant the user exclusive rights to My Documents"
option in folder redirection - it is not applied if a user initially logs on
from a WinXP deskop.
If the above is correct, verify that you have no loopback (group policy
loopback processing) modes enabled for your WinXP desktops. This is the
first thing I can think of which may reconfigure and override the option
named above.

I looked/modified the GP using an XP PC and I'm still
seeing the same results. Via XP, I select Create a
folder for each user under the root and the root is
defined as \\bluedevil01\users$. Via 2K Server, I use
the basic redirection and the target folder is
\\bluedevil01\users$\%username%. Once again, when loggin
in on an XP PC, it creates the directory but no one (not
even an administrator) has access to the directory until
you take ownership. Even then, the individual user is
not listed on the security tab. However, if I log in
using W2KPro, the folder gets created and the user has
access.

You have "Grant user exclusing rights to My Documents" option enabled on
your Windows XP PCS.

If you're meaning through the GP, No, I don't have Grant
exclusinve rights to My Documents.
