right from the day out of the box, my HP media center penD doesn't show up on
the right click-"send to" list, the system was restored same day, but still
same problem,to copy data to dvd or cd, i have to dbl click on the rw-dvd
drive letter and drag the files, then right click on drive letter and click on
"write files to cd",also it doesn't read free space and used space
properly, yet sonic does read it and can burn with no problem. How do i fix
this? Can i just create a short cut for the drive letter and add it to send
to- list?

csp-i added the new shortcut for the "e"drive dvd burner to the right
click"send to" list, its in the folder, but doesnt show on the list. With no
disc in the drive it reads(under c drive) as 0bytes free space and 0 bytes
used. If you right click on the drive under c-drive nothing happens, yet with
the dvd player it will tell you to insert disc. Even after dragging data to
it, it will not read the free/used space properly. help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You have third party burning software installed.

Some third party programs disable XP burning; others co-exist fine with it.
It sounds like your third party program is in the "disable XP burning
category." This results in XP regarding the optical drive as a reader only,
hence no SendTo options. In other words, the Sonic software is entirely in
control of your drive's burning features.

For SendTo options to be available, they need to be established by the
Sonic software. You might check Sonic or HP support to see what solutions
they can offer.
