duplicate lists of names on the names list

When I go to the Inbox, click new, then click To:, I get
the Show Names box. I click the down arrow beside Show
Names from the: and the drop down list shows multiple
Contacts and/or Personal Address Book. How do I get the
multiples to go away and/or not show.
