I got this answer from F-prot software producers:
Hello and thank you for your mail.

There is a problem with running a DOS anti-virus scanner on Windows NT
4.0/2000/XP systems. It is not guaranteed that all files will be scanned.
The reason for this has mainly to do with long filenames and non-ASCII
characters in file names. DOS only "understands" 8 character long filenames.

So there is no way? Should I install a previous relase of DOS? How?
I used F-prot DOS under win98se without any problem, why I cannot use
it with win xp ???

You probably won't be able to install DOS on your XP system because you
probably have NTFS as the file system and DOS can't read NTFS disks.

F-Prot for DOS runs on Windows 98 because Windows 98 runs on DOS. There is
a real DOS on your PC. For the most part, F-Prot for DOS will run in a
command window on XP but may not be able to scan all the files on your
disks. You should either upgrade to Frisk's F-prot for Windows (not all
that expensive), purchase another anti-virus program that does support XP,
or get a freeware A/V like AVG from Grisoft.
