DOS programs in Windows 2000

I have been using a DOS based Point of Sale program in my
store running Windows 98. I have purchased a new
computer with Windows XP. The POS program loads in XP
but many of the nec. functions will not work. Replacing
the POS program is a very costly matter which I can not
afford. I believe that Windows 2000 Professional will
have the same problem running the dos program from what I
have been able to read, but I am not positive, and
Iwouldn't want to waste my money buying it, if it not any
different than XP, which I have.

Have you turned on any combatibility options for that POS program or are you
running it with default options?
